Can PI 7.0 be installed with ECC6.0 on one server?

Hi,

Is it possible to install PI 7.0 on the same server with ECC 6.0. I know that there are some nuances for XI 3.0 and ECC 5.0. What about PI? What is the procedure?

Thank you!

HI

XI 3.0 and PI 7.0 are the same product. Only difference is XI 3.0 runs on WAS 6.40 and PI 7.0 runs on WAS 7.00. So differences in sizing would be because of difference between 6.40 and 7.00.

I'm sorry, but it's still not clear if I can install PI7.0 and ECC6.0 on the same server.

Thanks.

Hi,

the answer is - yes you can

but the question is: do you really want it ?

if your XI will have to process lots of message then this is not recommended

Thank you for the answer.

Do I need to use MCOD or "Multiple Instances on Multiple Database" configuration for that?

Hi,

The feature to run XI on the same SAP system is available for XI as of NW04S. Check the release notes here:
