Help me with MI installation

HI,

I am planning to install MI 2.5, which i havent performed before.

Can any one help me. are there any pre-installation to be done, like upgrading kernel Patch, right now kernel patch its 52 for Kernel 700.

and do i have to upgrade any other patches.

1) I have downloaded MI 2.5

2) Installed ABAP + Java and selected MI during installation

what is the next step i have to perform,

Kindly let me know step by step procedure, I havent done this before.

Kindly send me detailed document.

HI,

Sorry to bother you.

I have added Java addin for my abap system, during installation i have selected MI option. Now i have to install MI 2.5

I have downloaded MI 2.5_SP09 which contains 3 folders AWT,Drivers and JSP

all these folders contain Setup files

do i have to run any of the setup files for starting MI.

Is so which file has to be started first.

Hi Magham,

I suggest that you dont install MI 2.5 SP09. Go in for a higher SP release of MI. Many functionalities have been changed & so many new features added after MI 2.5 SP13. I would recommend you to install MI 2.5 SP19 or MI 7.0 SP11.

Hi Magham,

As Nameeta has suggested, go with the latest version of MI

You can either install JSP or AWT setup, though I would recommend JSP as it is the one which is used the most.

Hi Magham,

MI Installation is not very tough to do.

You see there are Installation Guides which will guide you through the whole process.

For your Server Version there will be a corresponding installation guide in the Mobile Infrastructure.

Go through it. You will come to know the step-by-step process.

If you plan to do some development, also download NetWeaver Developer's studio from service market place. It contains Mobile Dev Manual in its help.
