Hi MM Experts,

can anybody pls tell me how to consider loss of stock in the transit....??

is there any report apart from MB5T which will give loss of the stock in transit

and respective value..??

Hi,

The answer you got from jagdesh is correct.I would like to add that you can scrap the material in receving or supplying plant.

Hi

There is no way to make any entry for loss in transit. I presume you are referring to stock transfer order and loss in transit should be accounted either in supplying plant or in receiving plant. So, when you make Goods receipt for the materials shipped by supplying plant, you have the option of entering the exact quantity received by you. However, when you enter the actual quantity which is less than the shipped quantity, the balance quantity will remain shown as stock in transit.

Now, you need to take back the difference in quantity in supplying plant and scrap the same as it will not be physically available.
