Tax on Sales and purchase

Hi,

I have a small question on “Tax on sales and purchase” when we create GL A/C’s as follow.

1. When I posting sales invoice with Tax on Sales and purchase it is only accepting and posting only when “Sales Revenue a/c” having “+ only output tax allowed” in Control data screen at “FS00”why is not accepting but not “> output tax”.

Hi Mahesh,

There is a difference in using ">" and "+" in control data

We use "+" for accounts on which we calculate output tax EX: sales

We use ">" for tax accounts to which we post output tax amounts.

For example:

Total Invoice amount including : 200

Tax: 20

180 is posted to the account with "+" and 20 is posted to account with ">"
