Length of an alphanumeric number range

How may i control the length of alphanumeric Vendor numbers?. For instance I want vendor numbers with a letter and <u>only 5</u> digits e.g V12345. The system should reject V123456

Hello Srinivas,

I tried your suggestion because I had a similar problem - but there isn't any field to set the length of the range number, there's only one for the length of the buffer. Could you please specify what you mean? Maybe there's another solution?

Hi

go to SNUM and enter object KREDITOR. click on change button and change number length domain.

But that is not recommeded.
