Hi Friends,

What is the difference between Mercury QTP and eCATT testing tool.

What are advantages and disadvantages of both the tools and which one is the better tool.

Hi,

QTP is from Mercury , 3rd party Functional Testing tool can be used against various applications. It's based on GUI recording.

eCATT is integrated and inbuilt testing tool from SAP works only on SAP GUI

QTP;Advantages

1. Key word driven testing

2. Suitable for both client server and web based application

3. Vb script as the scriot language

4. Better error handling mechanism

5. Excellent data driven testing features..etc

QTP requires more memory. And some knowledge of VB Script programming to create functions in project.
