Calculate master data column

Hi Experts,

Can any please suggest me how to calculate the master data column which is say any number i.e. if you have column with number and i need total of that column...how can i do that???

Hi Mark,

Create Formula variable with Replacement Path(Replace with your Char.),

Create Formula using this Formula variable.Now u can calculate Total.

Hi Mark,

Select KF,right click->New Formula,u will see formula Variable,

Right click->Create New Variable,use Processing Type->Replacement Path,

Select Your Char.

Replace Variable with->Key,Dimension ID->Number,

Create Formula,use your Formula Variable in your Formula

Hi,

Once u create the Formula Variable,Create Formula->double click on the Formula Variable that u created.Now select your Formula->Properties->Calculate Result As->Summation

It is possible for keyfigure in Analyzer i.e

for getting no.of value in result area, select properties from context menu of any of values keyfigure. Now go to caluculation tab, in that change caluculate result as 'count all values'. this will give you number of key figure values for particular characterstic.

Thanks for the response, but i have done that on Key Figures but i have a task to perform on char. Please let me know is there any way to get the total? Thanks

Hi

You can't get it on char in the way u did for key fig,

but I hope you can do it using user exit variable.

Are you can have keyfig count with constant value 1 as attribute to char and find sum of it.
