Posting date for sap 9 stock revaluation

can i generate / post the stock revaluation date forward ? eg. today is 21/6/17 and i want to revaluate the stock on 1/7/2017. so , can i do posting now with the date of 1/7/2017 ? any impact of value.?

Stock revaluation for future date will not be allowed.
