Financial reporting structure - upload file

Hi experts,

I am trying to upload financial reporting structure in ByDesign using Ms Excel. I have downloaded the template for Income Statement, but I am wondering, what is the purpose of "Item Key" (in column C, which is initially hidden - see attached picture). Can anybody explain me, how it works?
