who owns (controls) stock when transfering stock using 2 step procedure?

Hi Rasham ,

Once you do the PGI in the supplying plant the stock in transit is trigrred and the delivery done ;stocks in the STO are in the ownership of the Receiving plant .They can claim any damages , insurance ...

Hi Rasham

As soon as you remove stock from issuing plant, valuation happens at that level, and then stock is transffered to stock in transit but it is considered to be a part of receiving plant.though no valuation occures when transfer from stock in transit to a storage loaction in receiving planmt takes place as it is already a part of receiving plant.

as Kirti mentioned if some damage /poor quality etc occurs then receiving plant ask for settlement from issuing plant.
