SAP APO DP/SNP (C_SCM3) certified

Former Member

Hai,

I got certified on <a href="http://www50.sap.com/useducation/certification/curriculum.asp?rid=251&vid=5">APO DP/SNP certification</a>.

Just want to give some information to all those who want to take this exam:

The duration of test is 2 hrs. with 60 questions(2 mins. per question)

The questions are divided into 4 areas: General, SNP, Integration(CIF) and DP.

There are very clear instructions right before the test.Your test will only start once you read through all those and click on the icon for entering the exam. Your time starts right then.

The questions are more of conceptual rather than any real world scenarios. Reading through the SAP material for courses SCM 200(needed if you have no knowledge of SAP), SCM 210(DP), 220 (CIF) & 230 (SNP).

It's very helpful to follow SDN posts to understand what you read in books.

There is only one question from Network design that's very easy to answer if you just read the overview of ND in help.sap.com

Upon completion of the course, you will be given the result with details of Pass or Fail, Overall marks, markes scored in each section.

THe pass mark is 70 out of 100.

Finally a tip for all those taking certification: Be thorough with the content at the end of each unit( like exercises, Q&As).

I read through the material and have been following all the posts in SDN. I am really deeply indebted to SDN for the kind of subject I learnt from it. Special thanks for Somnath and Harish.

Guys, please let me know if any one have any questions on certification. I can not post the certification questions but will try to answer your other questions to my best.

Thanks.

Hi

I am working in CIF. So I am thinking to do SAP APO certification. Could you please tell me what book I need to buy to this. I am planning to study on my own.

How much time do you think it would take to prepare for the exam.

thanks

Thank you very much Sathish. I have one more question.

Do we have one material for C_TSCM44_65.

Or else we need to buy separate materials for each and every topic inside this.

thanks

Aravindan,

I got certified in APO DP/SNP in 2001 in Atlanta GA when they had the very first APO Cerifications. It was only General, CIF, DP and SNP. I had rad a lot of other Supply Chain books in addition to the training manual. To my surprise every single question was from the training manual. Noe PP/DS is also part of certification. My suggestion read these training manuals thorughly. Good Luck.

Hi Venkat,

Can you train me in APO DP and SNP. I almost finished book# 220 but have to go through some exercises. I know how to deal with master data, planning book, planning area, MPOS, time bucket and so on.

I just need to go through the exersises in book 200 and 230. I am also sertified MM consultan so SNP should not a problem for me.

I am ready to pay hourly or per course.

Please email me to LTarassova@hotmail.com

Hi Visu,

You spoke of a question on Network Design, and asked us to read the overview of it in help.sap. But I could not find any such thing there. Can you kindly explain what you meant by Network Design please? I have the exam coming up in a week.

Thanks a lot

Amit.

Hi Visu,

I want to take the same exam you took for DP/SNP, but it seems they have changed the portion and the exam now includes PPDS also. Check here http://www50.sap.com/useducation/certification/curriculum.asp?rid=583

I am really worried because I have taken a class which promised me to teach only SNP and DP, and now I do not have any access to the other material. Please tell me is it possible to take DP/SNP exam as you took separately without studying for PPDS? Please let me know.

However, the link for the exam you took is also working still and its there in your post.

But that examination ID has been removed from the exam listings. I do not know what to do now as I am not in a position to prepare for other material as well.

Waiting for your reply,

Thanks.

Amit.

Hi Amith,

I am also surprised to see that PPDS is included in it. DP, SNP and CIF itself is so huge. Adding PPDS to that makes it so huge.... I don't think anybody can learn everything and remember at work.....nor it's practical. But that's the way it is... I am sorry.

Certification is a good boost for you when you are entering SCM. But it is not mandatory. There are many people that are working with certification and it makes no difference.

Hi Visu,

Does APO Certification still holds the same value as it was 5-6 years ago? I am working on APO and looking forward for taking up the certification but before that I want to understand whether there is still scope for this certification and overall future of SAP APO in coming 10 years.

Hi,

When I click on the link i am able to see the page, but when i go thru the main page, and Click on SCM 2003 I see that there are 80 questions instead of 60.

Hi,

Can you let me know the Exam code for the Certification?.

Which version of APO you have taken the certification?....

I am applying through my company and they want the Exam code, so that they can proceed with the process of applying for the exam for me.

Also, is there any certification for PP/DS?. Because when someone they are doing APO certification, they mention that it is covering DP/SNP only and not PP/DS.

Thanks for the replies....

Hi,

C_SCM3 is the certification code. It is DP/SNP certification in version 3.0. I took it in US. Which country are you planning to take the certification? Assuming it's US, here is the <a href="http://www50.sap.com/useducation/certification/examcontent.asp">link</a> for certification exams. Search for SCM exams and you can see lot more then just C_SCM3(for DP/SNP).

There are PP/DS certifications also. They are not explicit but they are broken into different parts. You can identify by content.

Please go through the above link for certifications and then feel free to ask any questions.

Thanks.

Hi Azha,

I just looked through the link provided by Visu.

There is not separate certification for PPDS. You need to do certification in Manufacturing - which covers both R/3 or ERP and APO-PPDS.

The exam codes I am referring from the link are C_TSCM34_03 and C_TSCM34_40. Please note the entire training, courses and exams are moving from pure module/application based to role based (Solution Consultant - Manufacturing, Planning etc.) in line with PACE framework.

Thanks,

Somnath

Disclaimer: I am not APO/SAP certified and have not taken any of the exams.

hi Venkat,

can you pls mail me the questions at <email deleted>

Thanks

Certification questions should not be shared or solicited through SDN. Visu has mentioned that explicitly.
