What causes the Planning time fence to move / extend?

Hi,

hopefully someone can help with a question! As background my Plant Calendar is 7 days and there are no holidays planned. I have a situation where a user has spotted a situation, he has just reduced the planned delivery time from 4 days to 2 days for a Material in the Material, the Planning time Fence is set to 2 days in the Material but when I look at MD04 the PTF appears 6 days away (e.g. today 20th, PTF is 26th. To me this is strange as I believe the change in delivery time is a red herring (not related). The PFT is 2 days so it should sit at 22nd in MD04 - 2 days from today (20th). There are firm Purch Ords sitting at 22nd & 23rd, nothing is happening on 24th or 25th.

Is this system confused somehow by this master data change?

Many thanks

Hello

If you are using a planning calendar or periodic lot sizing, the planning time fence should cover the entire period.

Hi Caetano,

thank you for your answer, I understand the Planning calendar impact I believe, the PTF would extend to the next delivery day/date according to the calendar, but I do not understand the Periodic Lot Size can you please explain a little?

Much appreciated

Martin
