FTP Alternate Solutions

Former Member

Hi All,

I currently have an File(FTP) to File(FTP) XI scenario. However the customer doesnt wish to use FTP data transfer.

I found that we can use HTTP or MQ(JMS) instead. Kindly suggest if there is any other alternate solution.

Kind Regards,

Charu

>>> in case you have a file at the sending and receiving side, i suppose you utilize the already available File adapter. Instead of FTP there is the NFS protocol that you can make use of.

Hi,

Use NFS. Write a shell script to move the files from outside the firewall to the folders in XI and then use a Sender File adapter with NFS to read the file etc.

Hi,

1. if you can get access from XI to the folders (by shared folders)

you don't need FTP - you can connect directy to those folders

2. you can use SOAP, mail or use any other type of adapter that XI has
