Not able to login to J2ee Administrator

i am not able to login to Visual admin.

i am getting the following message

Unable to look up connection Defautlt

http://localhost:8100/msgserver/text/logon returned empty list of connection parameters

Pls help me in this

The Disp+exe is in yellow colour.

Hi,

Inorder to login to the visual administrator the pre-requisites are:

The database must be running.

The instance has to be up.

You have said that the disp+exe is in yellow colour means the instance is not up completely.

So let the instance come up. Then try connecting to visual admin. You'll be able to connect.

Hi,

Look in to the developer trace for disp+work, Find out why it is not up. Some times the developer trace would give you the note number you have to refer incase there is any error. Since visual admin an online tool, it can only be executed only when the engine is up and running, try to bounce your engine.
