hi,
while creating a model, we will give 2 parameters. one for logical system & for RFC. can anyone tell me what is the importance of these 2 parameters.... & can we give our own names to those two parameters... can't we use only 1 parameter.
pls... send me the reply to my mail-id: mail2lakvi@yahoo.co.in
Hi Lakshmi,
You can give ur own model data and meta data destination names while importing RFC, provided u should configure them in Content Administrator.Tlogon to Content admin, Give http://serverIP:port/index.html. From there, select Webdynpro, then Content Administrator.

Hi Vijaya
Yes u can have your own naming Conventions. This two Jco's will help your webdynpro application to establish a connection to the external applications i.e R/3.

HI Vaijaya ,
Yes , we give two important parametrs while importing RFC model (Remote Enabled function MOdule) in our appication .
1.Logical System Name for Model Instance -
2. Logical System Name for RFC meta data -
These are the parameters of JCO coneections set up for the WAS of NWDS poiinting to R/3 systems
Both the parameters are eqwually inportant and can not give our own ,,,,coz no connections would then be established with R/3.
I hope this helps
Thanks and regards.
