Can you tell me what type of data are you loading? There's a bit difference between loading data in BI 3.5 and BI 7.0. Some of them are:
1) InfoPackages can only load upto the PSA only.
2) You can use transformation rules (replaces update and transfer rules)
3) You need a DTP to "schedule" the load.
Let me give you a quick summary on how to go about it:
1) If you are loading from a flatfile, then you have to manually create a DataSource for it and define it's fields (In RSA1, find the SourceSystem for flat files and then create a new DataSource). If you are loading from an external SAP system, you will need to create a DataSource in the SAP system (if you don't have it yet there) and then replicate the DataSource in BW (go to RSA1->Modelling->Source Systems->Select your source system->Right click->Replicate DataSources).
2) Create a transformation rule from your DataSource to your data target (in your case an InfoCube)
3) Create a DTP for loading data from your DataSource to your target
4) Create an InfoPackage to load data from your DataSource to the PSA
5) Schedule your InfoPackage
6) Schedule your DTP
