ESS Personal Information

Hello All,

Systems: ECC 6, EP 7 and ESS 6 (Web Dynpro)

In looking at the base deploy of ESS -> Personal Information, I noticed that in the Detailed Navigation iView you see content folders for all the standard deployed countries. Is this correct and should they just be left there with the Navigation Panel minimized? In the ESS documentation I do not see any mention of removing the non-applicable country content, etc. Or is it standard practice to modify the Personal Information workset to make it country specific (which would then require country specific roles).

This is what you can do.

You can define country specific roles like ess_us ess_ca etc and in this country specific roles you can delete all the other countries personal information folders , pages, iViews that you dont require.

IF you dont remove them and when the user clicks on the other country speific services which may not be applicable for him, the application may go for a dump or might give a vague error ( No Services avialable)

It will make your life easy while maintaining if you delete the unwanted services/PCD content.
