Changing fields in the Personnel Master Record from Required

Where in the IMG do I make the determination of which fields are required and which fields are optional for a personnel master record?

When I go to maintain V_T588M, it is looking for a Module Pool next. What module pool would I be maintaining? Isn't there a path in the IMG or a way to change the fields required on Infotypes?

Even via IMG, you will end up in the same place.. the module pool program name depends on the infotype screen you would like to maintain ie..

0001 would be MP000100, 0001 would be MP000200 & so on..

You can maintain the view V_T588M via SM30/31.
