Hi,

A new plant has very few risks, especially if you use the copy facilityto do it. There are so amny tables that use the plant as a key that it is safer to copy all of them and then change where necessary (using the standard Plant copy function in the Organisation structures menu of SPRO.

I am not sure what you mean by a new plant for a "society"?

The best rule for deciding if a plant is relevant is as follows.

If you have a physical site (building or area etc.) that has a unique address and items are stored, sold from, purchased to this address then a Plantt is appropriate.

this is a general statement and so other things influence it but this is the basic guideline.

So if you have two sites with different addresses then you should consider separate plants for each.
