Extraction error

Hello,

A simple issue.

I am trying to extract an id, language and a few char15 fields to BW. I have created the corresponding infoobjects in BW.

My extractor is running fine(on rsa3).

However, when I try to load data through the load fails and I get error 'Version: ( name of field) is not valid'.

Any leads?

When I changed the infoobject characteristic to accept lower case, it worked.

Do not forget to assign points if any of the solutions helps.

Try to replicate the datasource and then check your transfer rules if all the fields are mapped properlly.

Hi suraj:

when you are done either creating a new data source or added fields in R.3 side, make sure when you come to BW, you "Replicate" the data sources. once you are done and then load you will be fine.....

make sure you activate the trasfer and update rules. and also make sure you map the new fields to the BW fields in transfer rules.

Hi Suraj,

Just incase check you are trying to upload all characteristics in CAPITAL case or else make an info object to accept lower case ( rsd1->General tab page) and it should get through.

Thanks for the response. Suppose I enable the infoobject to accept lower case, and the data is in upper case ( assuming ) will it still load data?
