PR Release Procedure

Dear All,

I have made all the settings in Spro for PR Release & then went to the IMG to release the PR. i.e PR No is 1. But it says PR1 Can't be released.

Can any one give me the conf settings in SPRO so that i can rectify them

Hai vineeth,

At the time of pr release system gives the error msg like-pr1 not yet released.i think u done the below steps.check it.

1.After configuring release strategy u create one PR:1

2.After creating PR:1 u must change the customized release strategy like-changes in classification,release procedure,values.

3.Then u tried to release the PR:1.so the system gives the error message like-PR:1not yet released.

4.That PR:1 must not be released.

5.Create another PR.and release the PR.it must be released.

6.So after customization if there is any changes in cutomization,u must check all the documents are closed or in open status.if there is any open documents close all the documents and then u must change customization of PR,PO.............

I think the above instruction is very helpful for u.its ok u give reward points for me.

Hi Vineeth,

Please check first in ME53N and confirm that release strategy is determined in the PR. If release strategy is not determined for the PR in question, you will get this error.

When you run transaction code ME53N, a default PR is opened. If that PR is not release relevant, you get this error.

You need to change the PR number and put the desired one.

If still you get this error, release strategy is not determined. Please check as I explained above.

If PR meet all desired characteristics values and still PR does not has release strategy determined, please study SAP note 365604 and check in system.

Hi Vineet

Please check the price you are entring while creating PR, it is possible that price you are entring is not enough to trigger a release strategy.

so try giving some very large price and then check if system is picking up any release strategy.if this is the case then you have to change the amount criteria in release strategy to a lower amount.

Hi,

Can you provide the mesage number or the exact text please.

It is probably caused by the PR not being blocked, or it may even be simply due to authorisations.

But there is no way to tell without the exact message text or message number.

Hi,

The message indicates that the Preq has errors, this is not normally related to the release strategy.

It is normally issued if the data is incomplete, no Plant, missing material number, UOM etc.

In which transaction are you getting the message (is it ME51N or ME52N or another transaction?)

It is difficult to help when the system is giving so little information.

If you double click on the message line when the message is displayed, does it not give any further details?

Please confirm if you have checked this:

Put the net price in PR(ME52N) as 100000 and save it.

then go to tcode ME57 and try to release it.

Net price is nothing but Valuation price: i have put 100000 INR but it took as 100.000,00 INR & tried to save it in ME57 but it didn't get released.
