Hi Experts ,
I have a scenario where partners provide files which need to be uploaded in to SAP
in the corresponding documents using GOS . I am able to execute the process accurately other than a scenario when the document names contain white spaces . PI does not keep
the white spaces and replaces all with a single space .
For instance , if the source filename is test 1.txt ( contains multiple white spaces ) , SAP stores it as test 1.txt ( only one space ) .
Is there anyway I can retain the white space while passing the data in to SAP.
Regards,
Nick
Are you pushing into SAP through an inbound proxy?
Is it pass through or mapping is there and you are using Dynamic File Name Configuration to get source file name and push the same into SAP.
Unless there will be any changes in SAP the white spaces should be there.
If somehow it is getting replaced with only one whitespace, you can read the file name in PI and put any special character let say '_' in place of white spaces and in inbound proxy same can be replaced again with whitespaces before pushing into SAP table.
Thanks,
Apu
