Subsequent listing in IS-Retail

Hi Experts,

Can you any explain difference between listing and subsequent listing?

Is subsequent listing works for all goods movement(Eg:sales return:252).

Thanks,

Shyam

    Hi Shyam,

Listing means that you enable an article to be procured for a specific range of sites (assigned to the assortment) in a specific time interval.

Subsequent listing was rather designed to be able to accept such articles in the store, which has basically no listing condition (so normally no procurement would be allowed), but you want to sell the received articles.

From technical point of view (probably helps to understand the difference on a deeper level):

If you are executing the Listing, you will get the desired WLK1 entries for listing conditions (enabling procurement), and the initial listing of the article will also trigger the creation of some further segments, eg. MBEW, MVKE, MARC etc. These segments are essential for selling the article, among other activities.
When you have only Subsequent Listing executed (automatically triggered if necessary), the process will create a WLK1 entry ONLY for statistical reasons, for only 1 single day! Why is it necessary? Because the creation of this one day long listing condition will trigger in the background the MBEW, MVKE, MARC, etc. segments' creation itself, which you absolutely need for selling those articles.

Regarding your question for sales return:252, I am not sure, should be tested whether it triggers the subsequent listing process.
The subsequent listing is usually triggered during a goods movement, which does not require a listing check, or during goods receipt, after the process determined the absence of the required MARC entry.

Just one more remark: if your article already has the correct eg. MARC segment, the subsequent listing process will be not triggered at all, hence being unnecessary.

The official information on subsequent listing can be found here:

    Best regards,
    Andras
