Hi folks,

Can anyone help me to locate the following info.

DB port

DB host

DB mc

DB IC.

I want this information in the installed system, either in some log file or through DBM gui. It's a NW04 installation, database being MAXDB.

Hi,

The first 2 you can find them in /etc/services and /etc/hosts, (in WINDOWS is in system32\drivers), I am not sure about the DB mc and DB IC.

Thanks,

George

Hi,

In windows should be something like:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts and services files, where hosts file lists the hostnames and ip addresses used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows, services file lists the service name, port number, and protocol, etc.

Thanks,

George

Hello,

I think we have misunderstanding here.

The DB host is in the default profile: /usr/sap/<sid>/SYS/profile/default.pfl and the parameter is SAPDBHOST

There's not DB port, but if you want to find the schema name, it's in the instance profile: /USR/SAP/<SID>/SYS/profile/<SID>_dvebmgs<number>_hostname and you can find the parameter easily.

You need to tell us what are the other 2 things mean.

Regards,

Joe
