How to hide the navigation block at the left in the portal

Hi Portal specialists,

I want to hide the "detailed Navigation" and "Portal favorites" windows in BI portal.

Is it possible to hide the windows automatically.

Could we set the property, that we open this window, only when we need it.

At this time it is shown automatically, and we can hide it with the special

button at the right top. But we do not want to hide the window after every sign in.
