Hello Experts,

I am working on business requirement where we have two plants (Plant A and Plant B) assigned to two different company code. there is one SFG product which is getting manufactured inhouse in both plants. Now business want to configure SAP system for Plant A to consume in house capacity with in plant A first and after that the short material should get procured from Plant B. so they want plan order for order quantity in plant A and purchase requisition for Plant B in single MRP execution. Please help me to configure this scenario in SAP.

Thanks in advance.

MRP does not do a capacity check.

With procurement type X you would get a planned order and then it is up to the MRP controller to decide.

Hello Hem

As already mentioned by Jurgen, MRP will not check for your plant capacity to decide the source of supply.

However, if you know how much quantity your plant can produce in a certain period, you can define a quota arrangement, with a Maximum Released Quantityfor Per Period for internal procurement,

Best regards, Caetano
