Hi,

I am trying to install PDK 2.5 for .NET.

This is very new for me hence please help.

Now, i installed the two sda files onto the sap portal and also the two other installables.

Now, while trying to so the remaining configuration settings I am unable to find the link Portal Runtime for .NET on the portal.

Does anyone know why this link is missing?

DO i need some installation to be done.

I am using EP 7.0 SP 7.

Thanks!

Preksha

Hi Preksha,

how are you doing ?

>>installables.

just for the record, which version of NPDK have you installed

1> 2.0 (VS 2003)

2> 2.5 (VS 2005)

>>Now, while trying to so the remaining configuration settings I am unable to find

>>the link Portal Runtime for .NET on the portal.

>>I am using EP 7.0 SP 7.

as per page 18 of the NPDK Config Guide

https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/35242098-0d01-0010-bba4-e30...

please restart the portal as per page 13 of the guide, after the config.

please check the following :

1> you are logged on with administrator priviliges to the portal

(The role System Administration should appear for the user)

preconfigured admin user for a Java Stack : Administrator

preconfigured admin user for a Java + ABAP stack : j2ee_admin

2> if you have logged on with the admin user and can see the 'System Administration' role, as well as the 'Support' Desk iView, please look for 'Portal Runtime for Microsoft.NET'

if you do not still find this, then you have a EP installation issue,

try :

a> undeploy & redeploy

com.sap.portal.dotnet.framework.sda & com.sap.portal.dotnet.services.systems.sda

manually using SDM

b> restart the portal

let me know if that has any effect

if not your portal installation might have a problem in it's installation, i would recommend using another instance of a portal server

Hi amit,

Thnks a lot!!

I chkd the SP Level which is 7 for my Portal. However, SP 9 introduces the .NET functionality for 2004s (i.e. EP 7.0).

So I will upgrade the server and check..

as per the installation documentation, you need to undeploy the pre-packaged libraries, and then deply the ones which came with the installer, and once you have deployed the correct versions, please restart the portal.

Hi,

You are welcome for the points.

However, now I am facing another problem.

I have installed SP9 on my SAP EP 7.0 (2004s).

And I am using PDk for .NET 2.5.

Now I have installed the Hotfix 1 for the same as well.

Still on the portal when i do my .NET server configuration, I get an error saying the .NET runtime server did not respond.

I am supplying the correct address (<ip address>:8050)

Also, I am making sure that the .NET service is running (MMC).

Any idea?

Thanks.

Preksha

I have posted a new thread for my second query.

Closing this thread, since I can see the link with SP 9.
