Hi Almini

To be precise several configuration options affect the look and behavior of the MDM Client itself. Most users rarely alter the default configuration options, however, the variety of available options can sometimes come in handy.

You can use the Options command to open the Configuration Options dialog and change the option settings for the MDM Client. The dialog contains a grid that enables you to specify values for each MDM Client option.

The options you can specify for the MDM Import Manager are listed in the link:

Hi Alfred,

Try with any values.

For quick refreshment rate: 10 sec

For slow refreshment rate: 120 sec.

Many thanks,

Thank you, Arun and Mark!

To Arun,

Which value do you suggest to use for Login status? As you mentioned below:

"Please change the default value and check the refreshment rate in the Logins table" .

hi Alfred

The "MDM Server status" setting determines how often the Console checks the status (running or not) of the MDM Servers that are mounted in the Console.

The "Login status" settings determines how often the list of Logins (found at <server>\<repository>\Admin\Logins) is refreshed.

Hi Alfred,

The configuration options affect the behavior of the MDM Console. Here are some key points...

Refresh Rate:

Each machine on the network can run only a single instance of the MDM Console, but users on different machines can each have their own instance of the MDM Console running with the same mounted MDM Server, and can even make changes to the same MDM repository at the same time.

Each instance of the MDM Console checks the MDM Server periodically to get the latest changes made by other users to the mounted MDM repositories. The Refresh Rate option determines how often, in seconds, the MDM Console checks for new information.

MDM Server Status:

Specifies the number of seconds between MDM Server status (Unarchiving, Unloaded, Loading, Running) refreshes (default is 3600; 1 hour).

For example if the MDM User unarchiving a repository. Now the status of repository is "Unarchiving". This may take some time depends on the size and strusture of the business content. After unarchiving the repository, the status of the repository changes to "Unloaded". This setting defines the server status refreshing rate.

Login Status:

Specifies the number of seconds between Login status refreshes (default is 60; 1 minute). For example if an user login to the MDM using data manager. The login details are shown in the "Logins" table in MDM Console. This setting defines the refreshment rate of the login information in the Logins table.

Please change the default value and check the refreshment rate in the Logins table.

Thanks,
