Hi Pals,
i was going thru the definition of portal Studio which states as "This is the central environment to developing and managing the portal contents" Portal contents are iViews, roles etc..
The definition is same as portal platform.
Can anyone tell me whats the main difference or <b>difference between
Portal Studio and Portal Platform</b>
Just gimme a clear idea

The portal studio is an single point contact for beginners or developers for creating their own or developing their own iviews,worksets,roles,pages,BO and others,,.
and also it integrates content management and maintenance in a single user interface ie,. the browser and the tools available in portal studio helps us to manage the PCD as well as edit the contents in an single interface.
The portal platform is an single point of access to the information which we create using Portal studio.

Hi,
Portal studio is for creating IVIEW, PAGES WorkSet etc... Its like a template in business tems we can say its a interface, or just a Skeleton .
web dynpro provides business logic where we can embed in our skeleton to bring meaning ful business logic.
all these Webdynpro + Portal Studio + J2EE runs in the webas through the Portal that is called portal Platform.

Portal Studio - is where application is created.
Portal Platform - is where we work.
