Hi,

We have installed SAP Netweaver 2004 Java on AIX box (5.3).

During the installation the server started properly .

I could even access the portal.

But now if i am trying to stop the server .i am getting the following error.

ctsaix02:vanadm 45> stopsap all

no start profiles found

ctsaix02 -->m/c name

vanadm ->SAP Administrator

Please not the same error come's for startsap

Best Regards

Manoj

Hi manoj

I think you need to set the environment Variable , also check the home dir of the admin user for more log info.

Hi

Please post abit more info, can you post your unix commands / feedback here so we can see what you are trying to do ?

Above link is for Linux btw... not really all the same as AIX unix.

Check the tracing in /usr/sap/<SID>DVEBMGS<system number>/work/ directory

Kind regards

Tom

Hi Tom,

I had visted the link

http://listserv.sap.com/pipermail/linux.general/2004-October/004349.html

before psoting this question in the forum.

But as u said this link is valid only for Linux.

My SID is :VAN

i could see that no logs are generated as result of this error.

I checkedc inthe /usr/sap/VAN/JCOO/work folder.

Best Regards

Manoj

Check the logs in /home/<sid>adm

Depending on what system you have installed you could find several onces:

stopsap_DVEBMGS01.log -> abap

stopsap_SCS00.log -> java

stopdb.log --> database

Similar for start logs

Sorry I overlooked something, you are talking purely about java here ...

Sequence for stopping java

-stop the additional java instances (if you installed any extra onces)

-stop the SCS instance (your central java instance)

-stop the database

stopsap J2EE is the correct command to stop only java

stopsap all should stop java+database

Maybe you should take a look at that linux document since we are talking about the java part and not abap.

We have had a similar problem.

Type in stopsap <hostname> and it should work.
