I extracted Asset Mgt Data from the ECC to BW and now I am finding out that the extraction to BW resulted in version 3.5 objects.
I looked at the Datasources and right-clicking them had them "migrated", however then is not an option on the transformations.
So I'm working with this Asset Mget Cube: 0FIAA_C12,
tell me if this is correct:
a) Cubes and DSO's and other higher forms of data storeage object will not need to be maintenanced,
b) Transformations will have to be manually changed
c) Any queries have to be manually changed,
Is there a std op procedure or best practice to follow for re-doing the transformations?
a) Cubes and DSO's and other higher forms of data storeage object will not need to be maintenanced,
Didnt follow this question
b) Transformations will have to be manually changed
YES
c) Any queries have to be manually changed,
3.x queries can be opened in nw2004s but in order to add new functionalities has to stay in nw2004s.
Queries once edited in nw2004s cannot be opened back in 3.x they had to be restored.

Very good answers to this question I had.
At the link below I had another question particularly about Asset Mgt Data. I described the process I used.

just to add to what chetan has already outlined:
Cubes and DSO's and other higher forms of data storeage object will not need to be maintenanced,
No, there would be no further maintenance needed during or after migration. the structures remain intact, only the flow is gonna change.
Any queries have to be manually changed,
No need to change any queries with the dataflow migration. If you want to migrate even the queries to 7.0, than again unfortunately it has to be manually. No mass migration tool available yet.
