Hi,

Here are the steps :

You need to create a system and assign a system alias. Please refer to this link to create a system.

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/ea/d4df3df2ad685ae10000000a11405a/frameset.htm

After creating a system, you can create SAP transaction iviews using the system alias. Please refer to this link :

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/88/266a3e54a2e946e10000000a114084/frameset.htm

Please refer to this document which happens to be Administrator Guide and has all the info you would need.

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/a4/76bd3b57743b09e10000000a11402f/frameset.htm

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Sunil

i have tested the connection with the "connection test"

Test Details:

The test consists of the following steps:

1. Check the validity of the system ID in the system object

2. Check if the system can be retrieved

3. Check if a SAP system is defined in the system object

4. Validate the following parameters: WAS protocol; WAS host name

5. Check HTTP/S connectivity to the defined back-end application

Results

1. The system ID is valid

2. Retrieval of the system was successful

3. The system object represents an SAP system

4. The following parameters are valid: Web AS Protocol (https) Web AS Host Name (SAPDEV)

5. HTTP/S connection failed

For me, the host name is false and i don't know where i can find it !

Someone can show me where i can find this WAS host name, or tell me why my connection is failed?

Thanks,

Regards,

Adrien

Hello Loire,

It seems you have mentioned the Web Application Server(WAS) properties in ur system. A transaction iview doesn't used WAS property.

U can either display the transaction through ITS or through Connector property.

Go to ur R3 system. Transaction SMICM. From the top level navigation select <b>GOTO -> Services</b> . There you can find the ITS property. Check whether ITS is active.

Go to the ITS property of the system u have defined ion portal and mention the below parameters.

ITS Host Name: <Host name>:<Port>

ITS Path: /sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui

ITS Protocol: Http

Now test the system .

Hi Loire,

it looks like as if the system is not defined right. Hard to tell, what the problem is by this error.

What is the release of your EP and your backend

Please check the following settings: (especially the ports)

ITS Server (if Netweaver 2004 and R/3 4.7 or below )

WAS Server ( if Netweaver 2004s and ERP2005)

Use the "Check Connections" part of your system definition to check the single connections

Make sure the transaction you need is supported by the ITS/WebGUI/EWT (not all tx are working, especially with NWW2004s and ERP2005, things have changed a lot)

There is an OSS Note about all variants of the system definition in EP, but I don't have the number on hand.

If you search SAPNet for "EP" and "System Definiton", it prob. helps

regards
