We are a Co Deployed MDG 6.1 on ECC EHP 7 today . We are planning to upgrade to a HUB landscape architecture with MDG 9.0 on S4/HANA .
I understand S4/HANA uses the concept of Business Partners . Does this mean a Business process change for my business? If not , How can we continue to use standard ECC Customer master and Vendor Master ? We have an external user interface which is passing Vendor Master Data create information from a WenDynpro application to MDG today . Can this continue to create ECC like Vendor Master while in S4/HANA ?
Also , What is the recommended approach for Address validation for MDG on S4/HANA .

Thanks for the response Ingo .
In a nutshell ,I have a simple Web Dynpro application to capture core W9 fields for VM and this submission creates a draft CR in MDG for Reviewer with few default logic for other fields . Reviewer at this stage enriches the VM CR and submits for final approval .
We do not use BP for VM or CM today . Do you think I can continue to use the same application and call BusinessPartnerSUITEBulkReplicate to create a BP + Vendor Master once upgrading to S4/HANA ?

Hi, for the general S/4 approach on BP/customer/supplier, check 2.12 in
This technically relates to the CVI, which (as an MDG customer) you're already familar with. In a nutshell, customers/suppliers still get created/updated from BPs.
Not sure how you pass the data from your external user interface to create Vender Master Data today. The BP service BusinessPartnerSUITEBulkReplicate works in ERP as well as S/4, so do the IDocs DEBMAS/CREMAS. Batch-input is decidedly not recommended, not sure whether it would work.
Best regards, Ingo Bruß
