I install NWA Preview and it worked.
Next I got ABAP dump after Logon.
After that I uninstall, clean services and install may be 20 times without success.
I found that in my XP C: I can not get DB install and after Start Dispatcher is Stopped.
What to do?
Hi Mike,
If the installation finishes correct, but the DB is not installed, try to delete the following folder including subfolders:
C:Program FilesCommon FilesInstallShieldUniversalSAP
After this, re-install the system.
Hope this helps,
Klaus

Hi Klaus,
Your advice solved my problems - thanks and 10 points for you!
Now I install SAP NetWeaver 04s SP9 and I got again big problem with
JCE Unlimited Strength Jur. Policy Archive. I got jce.jar in many folders
but Step 2 - Define Parameters of SAPinst installation gives message:
Incorrect ZIP file
DIAGNOSIS: The file you specified is not correct.
....
I tried download from SUN but SDM gives always error when I tried run this
jce_policy-1_4_2.zip file. It looks as SDM is missing right ZIP program?
This is very urgent for me and I think to open a new path.
Thanks,
Mike
Hi,
First of all formatting the system is not the solution everytime.
You should ensure that the uninstallation is done properly. All the registry are removed for the concerned instance and also the os users are deleted. Trust me if the uninstallation is performed properly using the tool no such issues will come.
Even then get into services.msc through start->run and see which services still exist and then using the path described there in the properties files of it, search them in regedit and delete them from there. Be very carefull while doing that.
It should work for the next installation. If it still doesn't works then some other issue.
Do reward with points.

Just format your harddrive and go for a fresh install

Hi,
How did you uninstall? Did you Stop the database and remove the database instance? Did you also uninstall the DB software?
Thanks,
George
