Process Chain Error - Request was not posted to data target

Hello,

First of all, I am using version 3.5. I copied an existing process chain that is fully functional - no issues whatsoever.

After I copied the PC, I had to change all the variants in the process steps - events, program variants in ABAP program, infopackage, but not the ODS. It is updating the same ODS.

The PC is updating two ODS - Header and Line Item. After changing all the required variants, I triggered the PC event and it failed at the Update from PSA process with the following error message:

@5C@ Request REQU_45GA0NWDE7NJDYKADKYF9PNVF(59.386) was NOT posted successfully to data target ZTTSTLOD @35@

The Request in the Header ODS was posted successfully, only the Line Item ODS failed.

Can anybody please help how to fix this problem? And explain what is the reason for this error? Thanks.

    Hi,

Check the request in the ODS that failed. Check the monitor, look for error messages that can clarify the problem.

    Regards,

    Diego

      Hi Diego,

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this issue. I managed to find a solution in debugging the update rule using the monitor - simulate update function. And from there I figured out that based on the value in one of the fields, there is an update rule which cannot handle the value which is causing the program to fail.

      Thanks for being so helpful.
