Customized table of serial number performance in SAP S4 HANA

Hi S4 HANA Gurus/ Experts,

Would like to seek for your advise on the problem that my company facing.

We are running on the serial number management on a fully customized table and hitting performance issue, due to the huge volume of data.

Would like to check with you whether by migrating the customized table together with the data to S4 Hana and redesign the whole structure of the table, will the S4 HANA platform improve on the performance issue, like PGI and transfer is taking too long to process the serial number and hitting timeout; same goes to the performance improvement on report generation by pulling a report of 5 millions serial number.

Yes and also try to use Parallel Processing for better performance
