Hi Experts,
We have a BEx report which provides information about Contract, Master Contract, Ship-To-Party, Product Hierarchy, Material, Profit Center, Contract Start & End dates in Rows and Net Value (KF) in Columns. When we execute the report (BEx Analyzer), the total net value is getting doubled due to Product Hierarchy ROOT node repetition.
We are on BW7.3 SP09, SAP GUI 7.40 (release 7400.3.8.1123).
Example: let's say, if we have 5 products (Materials) in the executed query result then the Prod.Hierarchy ROOT node (node level 1) repeats 5 times, Sub node 107 (node level 2) repeats 5 times and then displays child nodes (low level). But this doesnt make any sense for me because unless we rollup the query result at top node (ROOT Node) level we dont get correct Net value otherwise Net value will be doubled up (when drill down on the Prod.Hierarchy).
I hope you guys understand the issue, I really appreciate your expertise help. Let me know how to get rid of these repetition of nodes in the query result.
Please see attached BEx Analyzer result.
Thanks,
Venkat
Hi,
the hierarchy is repeated because of the use of other dimensions in your query. So it is normal behavior. You can set the whole dimension-row as Hierarchy in query designer you can set in the properties of the rows to show as hierarchy and you can set at which level it should be by default collapsed; note you have to set the result rows of your infoobject as show to see the keyfigure in the hierarchy

Hi Bhavin,
I had gone through this link and tried but it doesnt work for my requirement. My requirement is very simple I just want to get rid of repeated root nodes from query result.
I am still not able to conclude that is it SAP BW BEx standard hierarchy behavior or some bug. Let me know if anyone has an idea/solution for this requirement.
Thanks,
Venkat
Hi,
what is the result if you run report on web analyzer or Analysis for office?
