Hi all:

I need to get:

1) The total number of accesses to my Portal, in a day, in a month, in a year, ...

2) The IP source of the access.

Is there any log file which contains info that permit me to obtain this information? An internal iview?

Thanks in advance and regards,

Alejandro Gómez.

Hi Alejandro,

meanwhile we have some new solutions in the area of portal web analytics: SAP Consulting has developed a set of modules to connect a NetWeaver Portal to external analysis backends, e.g. WebTrends, Google Analytics, eTracker, SiteCatalyst, Urchin and SAP BI.

By installing these modules, you get all kinds of reports out-of-the-box, and you can also extend the reports by collecting and evaluating custom data.

The modules are available via a fixed-price service called "No-Limits Portal Statistics".

I can share further information via e-mail: thomas.schreiner at sap.com .

Best regards

Thomas

Hi

Follow SAP Note 766839 for SAP J2EEngine 6.20 PL25+ and SAP Note 766598 for SAP J2EEngine 6.20 SR1+. Out of many out of the box reports, you can get User activity reports. It will give you username, number of requests, duration of all requests(ms), average duration of request (ms) during the time when you will monitor the system. You can either schedule monitoring for a duration or start and stop during a short duration.

Hi Alejandro,

I am not an expert in this but you can give a try for Portal Activity Report functionality available in Portal this should get the details about the number of access in a particular frame of time and you can download the report as Excel.

But regarding the IP source of access I am really not sure.

Please check the links on Portal Activity Report to configure the same. See if it helps:
