Compatibility of Internet Explorer 7.0 With SAP EP 6.0 ???

Hi ,

I have a doubt regarding the compatibility of IE 7.0 with SAP EP 6.0 . How do i make it compatible, Is there are a support package or patch which will allow users to access EP 6.0 on IE 7.0 . Are there any security related issues ?

Please give me suggestions or any references where i could get some knowledge and work on the compatibilty.

Hi Hasnolyadi,

Go through these notes.

. Note 990763, 1012683 – Internet Explorer 7.0 compatiblity

Prerequisites for installation: Central Note for Patch 41: 1009776, 806271

Please note that the patch installation on portal failed on our server and when we opened an OSS with SAP, they said they would not be able to help us since EP 6.0 SP2 is out of maintenance. SO now we are planning on upgrading to EP 6.0 SP19 Web AS Java 6.40

Hi Claudius,

Thanks for the information. Based on that, I think we should plan to upgrade our EP 6.0 SP2 to a higher version.I guess EP 7.0 would be better.

There is no direct path to upgrade from Web AS Java 6.20 to 7.00, i suggest you upgrade to EP 6.0 SP19(Netweaver 2004) and then after a few months then start upgrading to EP 7.0.

ok, but I think we want to do a fresh installation EP7 on server then transfer all the iview and contents from EP6 to new EP7
