Would like to know whether SAP considers the unit of measure used in the BoM while doing a material quantity calculation.

The scenario is,

Have an active ingredient and a filler material as a part of BoM. The active ingredient is maintained in Grams whereas the filler material is maintained in in Kilograms.

Active 100 G

Filler 10 KG

Now, when the material quantity calculation is done, then based on the characteristics of the active ingredient the quantity changes. This works fine. The filler material quantity has to be adjusted accordingly.

After MQC

Active 110 G

Filler -100 KG

When giving the formula, a paritcular cell quantiy is subtracted from another cell quantity. The unit of measure of BoM are not considered. Here, what system does is it substracts 110 from 10. How to avoid this situation?

Offcourse, if unit of measure of both the materials are the same then this is not a problem.

Your comments, advice please.
