Authentication prompt when creating a KPI tile using Smart Business Service

I am trying to create a KPI tile using Smart Business Service of SAP Cloud Platform. I have tried using both OData Service & Gateway-Based Service Discovery and am being prompted to authenticate myself. I have tried logging in using both SAP Cloud Platform & Backend ECC's credentials but it just keeps on popping up. Any clue why?

Hi Michael,

Most probably it comes in case you have maintained destination of your businessSystem having basic authentication and wrong credential.

Can you please elaborate your setup once and in which step you are getting this authentication popover.

I am trying to create a KPI tile using Smart Business Service of SAP Cloud Platform. As a prerequisite, I have configured the Business System for the Smart Business apps to see our ECC backend as the data source for the KPI tile. In the Business System configuration, I tried using both OData Service & Gateway-Based Service Discovery. After that, when I tried to create the KPI tile, I’m being prompted to authenticate myself. I have tried logging in with SAP Cloud Platform, SAP Cloud Connector & Backend ECC's credentials but it just keeps on popping up.

Here are the steps to replicate:

1.In the SAP Cloud Platform Fiori Launchpad, select ‘Create KPI’ tile

2.Populate

3.Upon selecting ‘Gateway-Based Service Discovery’ in the Service Discovery Mechanism field, I get this prompt

4.I tried logging in using SAP Cloud Platform, Cloud Connector & ECC backend credentials but all three did not work

Will appreciate any help.
