Hi SRM Gurus,
In Extended Classic Scenario, Is it possible to have Purchase Req to be created in the backend?
Technically whether it is possible or not? Functionally, there is no such need, I agree.
Thanks & Regards,
Ramkumar
Hi,
Not possible as with ECS, only SRM PO can be created then duplicated into the backend.
However, you can deactivate the ECS and swith on the classic scneario under some customer requirements
For this, you have to play with the related SRM badi.
Kind regards,
Yann

Hi Yann,
Thank you so much. Can you give me some more details like which BADI, what will be the impacts in the downstream process, whether in rest of the process, will it behave as Extended Classic Scenario.
Basically, we need to have ECS else where except we reqire Purchase requisition while shopping cart creation. We can think that as a dummy PR.
Thanks & Regards,
Ramkumar
Hi SRM Gurus,
In Extended Classic Scenario, using BADI " BBP_TARGET_OBJTYPE" is it possible to create Purchase Requisition?
If it is possible, whether POs can be created in SRM or do we need create in R/3.
In other words, what will be the impact if we activate the above said BADI.
Thanks & Regards,
Ramkumar
Hi
Please confirm what sceanrio in SRM are you planning for ?
I have not tried this. In Extended Classic Scenario, using BADI " BBP_TARGET_OBJTYPE" -> I guess, it's possible, but not sure. Try it out.
Purchase Order (PO) will be created in the R/3 system using the BADI - BBP_TARGET_OBJTYPE. Please read the standard documentation of this BADI, before implementing the same.

Hi Ramkumar,
No it is not possible to create a Purchase Requisition in the Backend if you are in Extended classic scenario Implementation.
Only a purchase order copy will be sent to the Backend.
with regards
mahesh
