handling unit id2

Hi gurus,

I'm stuck up with a scenario which expects Handling Unit ID2 to be populated to the vendor batch field in MSC3N...I couldnt find the HUID2 field in the system. The technical details of the field being

Field Name : EXIDV2

Table Name : VEKP

I would appreciate if someone provides me with the required data.

Sorry but I don't believe I can help you further with this issue. I never heard of any scenario like the one you describe. EXIDV2 will defintitely not update any fields in MSC3N.

To be honest I'm not sure I understand exactly what you try to achieve. Nevertheless, if you are looking for the EXIDV2 field and how it can be filled then check HU02/HU03 transactions. I believe BADI_HU_MAIN could also be used to fill the field automatically.

If this is not useful please provide further details of the business requirement.

Hi Michael,

thanks for the effort. The scenario that i'm working on currently involves a MES message to trigger Production Confirmation/goods receipt in SAP. This MES message contains a Batch ID which needs to be plotted to the HUID2 and this in turn populate in the Vendor Batch field in MSC3N

I've been trying to sort out the location of HUID2 field but in vain and also the significance of this ID from that of the usual Handling Unit ID
