Client independent applications are called cross client applications,

Eg. Data Dictionary objects, repository objects are cross cleint applications.

Cross Client :

Under SAP Technical Systems, Cross client customizing will provide data to all the clients..hence it is applicable for all the repository objects under difeerent modules such as FI - Finance, CO - Accounting, MM - Material Management, SD - Sales and Distribution....

different clients such as 100 - Developing, 200 Testing, 300 - Quality, 400 - Production and 999 - Sand box......., the data can be trasnferred easily

i hope this information is useful to u...

reward if useful...
