CO-OPA Baseline Building Block - Operating Concern?

Hello all,

I am trying in install Business Content for the CO-OPA Baseline Analysis Scenario. However, I am not familiar with CO-OPA R/3 data. I am following the CO-OPA Baseline Configuration guide to activate Business Content for R/3/BI Datasources and other fun content. Here is the location for the guide that I am following:

http://help.sap.com/bp_biv335/BI_EN/BBLibrary/documentation/B86_BB_ConfigGuide_EN_DE.doc

I am stuck on section 2.1.2 - Creating CO-PA DataSource for Transaction Data

It says to use transaction KEB0 in R/3, and then:

"1. On the CO-PA/SAP BW: DataSource for Transaction Data screen:

a. Make the following entries:

DataSource - 1_CO_PA%CL%ERK is automatically generated. Do not change anything. You can add additional characters.

Create - X

Operating concern - Your Operating concern, e.g.BP01.

Costing-based - X

b. Choose Execute."

How do I find out which Operating Concern to use?

Thanks,

Brendon

Usually, there will be only one operating concern per Organization. In SAP organization hierarchy Ops concern is the highest to which comtrollijg area will be asigned to. So, check what your ops concern is and use the name and the system (client) in the data source and generate the data source.

BTW, businss content will not be of much use in COPA, as the COPA structures are very organization specific.

Thanks Ravi,

Turns out that they aren't using CO-OPA anyways, just CO... and therefore they don't have an active Operating Concern. Thanks for the help!

Hi Brendon,

In KEB0 click the drop down on Operationg concern. You will find the operation concern which is active with green traffic light.

Also in SE11 you check tables starting with CE1, CE2 CE3* CE4*

Normall you will see CE1XXXX( XXXX is your operation concern) and so on

Thanks Jaya, I already tried that... and no Operating Concerns came up. Therefore I had to find out where there were no activated Ops Concerns... turns out they aren't using CO-OPA... only CO. Cheers.
