I have setup CRM Desktop connection 2, SP05 in our Sandbox environment with a separate Netweaver gateway and a CRM backend system. Currently using the default customization package from SAP.
During first sync, the customization package seems to be downloaded; However, the sync ends abruptly with the error:
"Internal Error: Desktop connection for CRM encountered an error. contact your system administrator"
In the control panel, i see the message:
'Batch job failed: [SY/530]/[RFC-Error: Der Open SQL command is too big.]'
I also see that there are short dumps in the CRM backend:
DBSQL_STMNT_TOO_LARGE, CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB.
FYI, I have SAP_ALL authorization profile assigned in both NW Gateway and CRM. Also there seems to be no connection issue.
I have reloaded metadata, reinstalled the clientside addin+ customization package.
can one of you gurus help me figure the error?
Best Regards,
Akshay
Please check the following note:
2490144 - "Internal Error: Desktop connection for CRM encountered an error.." throws "RFC-Error: Open SQL command is too big".

Hi Amandeep,
This was resolved by changing the 'Synchronize' filter in the customization source files. To do this open your source files in Invisible Studio-->EmployeeMain-->Change filter from 'MySalesOrg' to 'Myself'. Then build the package & upload to server or force run from Outlook.
This did the tick for me.
