Hello,

Do it as under

Description: TEST (any name will do)

Application server: Name of the system where sap is installed better will be if u put the IP address of the computer where sap is installed instead of name.

Sap Router String leave blank

SAP System SID of your sap instance not R/3 like D01/P01/....

Check the MMCC u will be able to get this.

System number 00 will work but to check the accurate system number it will

be written something like the <computer name> 00 or

<computer name> 10 this 00 or 10 as it maybe is the system number.

Once these entries are made correctly it will work.

Pl dont forget tp award points if resolved.

Hi,

The exact and compact thing is :

Descripotion : SAP 4.7E (Any thing will work)

Application Server : Your hostname

SAP Router String : 'blank'

SAP System : SID of your instance

System number: Central Instance Number. say if it is DVEBMGS04 then System number is 04.

First of all,Thanks for your replies.

In the Logon pad prorperties,

For 'SAPSystem' field the option is a Radio button . I have only 2 choices 1.)R/3 or 2.)R/2.I am not sure where I can fit in SID?

Just a quick update.

When I click in Logon on the Loginpad,

I see LogonPad Icon on the task bar.If I right click on that Icon I see,

<b>'SR1(1),000,Syntax Errors (EN).</b>

If I click on that,I see SAP Window with the following error message,

<b>ABAP/4 runtime error Error Code DBIF_RSQL_TABLE_UNKNOWN</b>

On the bottom of same window,I see another error message with RED cross mark,

<b>Table is unkown or does not exist</b>.

Thanks all for your help

Hi,

SID will fit in System ID tab. In the log on pad click on user-defined and you get this window.

Among the SAP System where you have radio button choose r/3.

regards,

award points if helpful

hello,

you better do one thing

there will be a file in the following location

C:\WINDOWS names saplogon.

Open it in notepad copy the contents and paste it here.

Or edit the entries under the following head only as are applicable in your case leave the other entries as they are.The entries made below are for example sake. Before editing save a copy of the same in some other location as a precaution.
