Lower/Uppercase in Material Master on release 3.1I

We still run an old 3.1I system and I've been asked if it's possible to have Material Descriptions in a combo of uppercase/lowercase in table MAKT, instead of everything being in uppercase.

Changes are done via MM02 but after typing in lowercase, text is translated to uppercase.

Is it possible, and is it a good idea or will it lead to problems?

Hi Stephen,

I don't know what is the case with 3.1i, but in newer versions, we have two fields in MAKT table MAKTX and MAKTG one which stores in mixed case and the other in upper case. The domain for maktx has the check box for lower-case checked.

Check in your system.

Well, seems the developers/users were a bit hasty (and possibly me in posinting) as I made changes via MM02 and they stayed in whatever case I made them.
