Fiori App - Approve Decision point - Workflow not triggering when "Send for review" is clicked

Hi,

We are using PPM Fiori App - Create/ change portfolio item proposal.

For the item, when we click "Send for review", then the workflow is not triggering and it is not seen in Fiori app "Approve decision point".

Only when the Decision point status is changed, then the workflow is getting triggered.

Then , what is the use of "Send for Review" button in the app?

Thanks & regards,

Khalid

Hello Khalid,

I see that you asked this question in a customer incident concerning a related matter, a few days after opening this thread. I will copy in this thread the reply which was provided to you by the developer responsible in the incident, so that it may also assist any other customers who are experiencing this issue and come across this thread:

I checked in our inhouse system. Status customizing may differ, but I verified the following workflow for our data.

I recommend repeating the steps in your system (please write down the item and portfolio, so that you can also retrace the steps in NWBC)

#1 From the Portfolio Item Proposal App, send an Item for Review. The item will not appear on the list of the Portfolio Item Proposal App any more. The sending for Approval will only change Item status (Probably "For Review") .

#2 In the App Portfolio Item Change, you'll get a list of items. You may group the item list by Status. One of the Status Values in our case is "For Review". There the approved Item should appear

#3 You may select the item and edit it. From there you could set item status and current decision point status. For the example in our inhouse systems I was able to set the decision point status to "for Review", so that the respective decision point appeared in the "Approve Decision Points" app.

With the proper customizing set up, the workflow described as above should also work in your system.

PS: For the technical background of the Approve Decision Points app: Method SELECT_DP_BY_RESP_STAT_GRP_APP in Class /RPM/CL_DECISION_POINT_API will do a prestep of selecting the list of decision points. In case you'd be missing some decision point approvals maybe would be the first starting point for a technical analysis.
