Error1 when loading using PC file in 2004s

I am trying to load a simple file(3 fields) all of them are char and getting an error message"Error 1 when loading external data" when I try to do a preview. I re-created the same InfoSource/DataSource in the sandbox and its working but couldn't get the same file previewed/loaded in the dev box. Any inputs, please ?

I uninstalled the SAP GUI and installed it again and its working now. Thanks. Its just the ActiveX control problems. Thanks,

Its says that your file cant be read..

Because of the follwoing causes

<b>1) Whether u r flat file is opened @ u r system while

doing the preview..</b>

<b>CLose the flat file and try to do the preview...</b>

2)Your file should have small chars..

I guess (1) is absolutely aplicable in your case....

I had the same infosource created in DEV and sandbox. It was working in Sandbox not on DEV. I was accessing the sandbox from a different PC , and found that there is a problem with on of the OCX files installed on the pc to show the preview. still trying to figure out the ocx file. Thanks everyone.

you paste the error description
